Kardarius Collins, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 31, 2014, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Collins was critically injured in a drive-by shooting during a Labor Day cookout at a home on Scarborough Drive. The incident occurred on September 1, 2014, and he succumbed to his injuries at Grady Hospital shortly thereafter. A 10-year-old girl was also injured in the shooting but survived.
