In the early morning hours of July 9, 2024, the life of 21-year-old Tajay Omarian Bramwell, a Black/African American male from the Lithonia area, was tragically cut short. DeKalb County Police were dispatched to the Spring Trace Apartments on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, Georgia, around 1 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Bramwell inside a vehicle in the parking lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances that led to the fatal shooting remain unclear, and authorities have not yet released information about a possible motive or any potential suspects. The investigation into Bramwell's death is ongoing, with the DeKalb County Police Department urging anyone with information to come forward. As of early February 2026, no arrests have been announced in connection with the homicide.
