In what has been described by authorities as a tragic murder-suicide, 35-year-old Dallas Brown, a male from the Stone Mountain, Georgia area, was killed on the evening of Friday, April 14, 2017. The incident, which stemmed from a dispute over money, unfolded in the driveway of a home on Rock Shadow Court.
At approximately 9:45 p.m., Brown was enjoying a game of basketball with another man when they were approached by 27-year-old Seeah Rosa. Without warning, Rosa opened fire, striking Brown. The other man present was also shot in the leg but survived his injuries. In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, Rosa reportedly turned the gun on himself, ending his own life at the scene.
DeKalb County police investigators quickly determined the deadly encounter to be a murder-suicide. Brown, who was remembered in his obituary as a personal trainer, an avid motorcyclist, and a devoted father, husband, son, and brother, died from the gunshot wounds he sustained.
The investigation concluded that Seeah Rosa was the sole perpetrator in the death of Dallas Brown. As Rosa died at the scene, no arrests were made in connection with the murder. The case was closed following the determination of it being a murder-suicide.
