In the fall of 2016, a family gathering in a quiet Stone Mountain, Georgia neighborhood took a tragic turn, ending in the death of 53-year-old Heron Alanso Parkin. On the evening of Wednesday, October 26th, escalating into the early hours of Thursday, October 27th, a heated domestic dispute erupted between Parkin and his 30-year-old son, Duran. The conflict, which occurred at a residence on Wetherborn Place, would ultimately be resolved with fatal gunfire.
