On May 12, 2024, a deadly shooting occurred at the Elleven45 Lounge in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Mari Creighton. Creighton, a rising senior and volleyball player at Albany State University, was an innocent victim caught in the crossfire of a fight that escalated to gunfire inside the nightclub just after 2 a.m..
