In a tragic incident on August 30, 2016, 23-year-old Lakisha Davis, an African American female, was found shot to death in an apartment in Clayton County, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. The discovery was made at the Lakeview Trails apartments on Riverdale Road, where two other individuals, 26-year-old Robert Dixon Jr. and 27-year-old Mario Collier, were also found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
The initial call to police was for a domestic disturbance, but officers received no
answer at the apartment door. A few hours later, a relative of one of the victims entered the apartment, discovered the scene, and alerted the authorities. Investigators noted the presence of drug paraphernalia throughout the apartment, leading them to believe the triple homicide was drug-related. Adding to the tragedy, Collier's two young daughters, ages three and six, were found unharmed inside the apartment at the time of the discovery.
In the course of their investigation, the Clayton County Police Department released sketches of two men who were seen in the vicinity of the apartment complex around the time of the initial disturbance call. These individuals were labeled as persons of interest in the case.
Despite the release of the sketches and ongoing investigative efforts, the case has grown cold. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the murders of Lakisha Davis, Robert Dixon Jr., and Mario Collier. The identities of the two persons of interest remain unknown, and the case officially remains an unsolved triple homicide. The families of the victims continue to await justice for their loved ones.
