In the late morning hours of a Wednesday in Washington, D.C., tragedy struck a neighborhood in the Southeast quadrant of the city. On October 25, 2023, 67-year-old Anthony Stewart, a male resident of Northeast, D.C., was shot and killed. The incident occurred around 11:41 a.m. in the 100 block of 35th Street, Southeast. When officers from the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Mr. Stewart suffering from gunshot wounds.
