On November 2, 2023, at approximately 2:08 AM, a fatal shooting occurred in the 3400 block of 14th Street, NW, in Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 29-year-old Johansel Misael Encarnacion Decena.

The incident involved two men who were found with gunshot wound injuries. Both victims were transported to local hospitals, but Johansel Encarnacion succumbed to his injuries two days later, on November 4, 2023.
