In the early evening of Tuesday, February 6, 2024, the life of 48-year-old Rufus Brown came to a tragic end on a street in Southeast Washington, D.C. At approximately 5:02 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District were dispatched to the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, following a report of a traffic accident.
