On the evening of March 22, 2023, a burst of gunfire in the 4300 block of 3rd Street, Southeast, forever silenced the life of 20-year-old Tariq Richardson. A Black male from Temple Hills, Maryland, Richardson was in Washington, D.C., when the fatal events unfolded at approximately 7:27 p.m. Responding to reports of a shooting, officers from the Seventh District arrived at a grim scene, discovering two young men suffering from gunshot wounds.
