Death by Force

On February 5, 1997, at approximately 3 am, Officer Brian T. Gibson, aged 27, was tragically ambushed and shot to death while sitting in his marked patrol car at a traffic light outside the IBEX Nightclub at Georgia and Missouri Avenues, NW, Washington, DC. Officer Gibson, who was in full uniform at the time, was a dedicated member of the Metropolitan Police Department with seven years of service. He was married and had two children.
