In the early hours of February 5, 1997, a dedicated Master Patrol Officer, Brian T. Gibson, a 27-year-old male, was senselessly murdered while on duty in Washington, D.C.. He was in his marked patrol car, stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Missouri Avenue, NW, when he was ambushed.
