On a Monday afternoon in Washington, D.C., the life of Demetri Maurice Harvin, a 33-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On October 5, 2020, at approximately 2:33 p.m., the sounds of gunshots echoed in the 1100 block of 1st Street, Northwest. Officers from the First District of the Metropolitan Police Department were the first to respond to the scene.
