James Thomas Ragen IV, a 31-year-old White male, was fatally shot late on the night of October 6, 2025, at the couple’s home on Second Street in AuSable Township near Oscoda, Michigan. Oscoda Township police and Iosco County EMS were dispatched around 10:56 p.m. and found Ragen with a single gunshot wound; lifesaving measures were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at 11:13 p.m. Authorities said the shooting followed an argument inside the residence.
