In the late summer evening of August 30, 2021, the life of 35-year-old Terrence Major was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. The male victim was in the 1300 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast, when gunfire erupted at approximately 10:56 p.m. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene after reports of gunshots and discovered Major suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response from D.C.
Fire and Emergency Medical Services, he showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into Terrence Major's death was quickly classified as a homicide, falling under the purview of the department's Homicide Branch.
