On March 10, 2017, 24-year-old Tyrone Johnson was fatally shot in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, Washington, DC. The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 am, when members of the Sixth District responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported by DC Fire and EMS to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
