On a summer evening in Washington, D.C., a sequence of events unfolded that tragically ended the life of 19-year-old Demetrius Creek. On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at approximately 9:39 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1400 block of Howard Road, Southeast. Upon their arrival, officers discovered evidence of gunfire, but no victim was present at the scene. The initial investigation suggested a violent encounter had taken place, leaving an unsettling mystery in its wake.
