In the early morning hours of February 10, 2024, a tragic shooting in Hartford, Connecticut, resulted in the death of 28-year-old Akeem Williams, a Black / African American male. The incident unfolded around 4:45 a.m. during what police described as an "after-hours event" in the 600 block of Garden Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered three adult men who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced two of the men, including Williams, dead at the scene. The third victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Police identified the second deceased individual as 36-year-old Adrian Easterling of Hartford.
