On June 27, 2015, a tragic shooting occurred during a youth basketball tournament near the Sarah J. Rawson Elementary School on Holcomb Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The incident resulted in the death of 41-year-old James W. Headen Jr., a Hartford resident who was fatally shot in the head.
