In the early evening of November 7, 2022, a sense of tragedy befell a neighborhood in Hartford, Connecticut. Chester Gaston, a 46-year-old Black/African American man from West Hartford, found his life abruptly ended. The incident unfolded shortly before 5:30 p.m. on the second-floor rear porch of a residence in the 100 block of Nelson Street. It was there that Gaston was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
