On August 16, 2019, at approximately 11:10 a.m., officers from the Surprise Police Department responded to a residence near Grand Avenue and Norwich Road following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered 39-year-old George Urena unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate efforts, Urena was pronounced dead at the scene.
