In the winter of 2022, a decorated U.S. Army Captain's life was tragically cut short in Phoenix, Arizona. David Navidad Parra, a 27-year-old first-generation Mexican American, was visiting his family for the holidays. A graduate of West Point, he was known by friends and family for his kindness, compassion, and dedication to his country.
