In the late summer of 1992, a shocking discovery brought a quiet Phoenix, Arizona neighborhood to a standstill. On the afternoon of August 29th, the bodies of five family members were found outside their home at 701 East Baseline Road. Among the victims was 6-year-old Eloy Zubia Jr., a young male. The other victims were his father, 28-year-old Eloy Zubia, his mother, 30-year-old Librada Zubia Hernandez, his 9-year-old sister, Rocio Zubia, and his 19-year-old uncle, Gabriel Hernandez.

family, who had moved to Phoenix from Chihuahua, Mexico, were found in a dirt lot near their residence. All five had been shot in an execution-style manner. A neighbor reported hearing gunshots around 4 a.m. that Saturday morning, but the tragic scene was not discovered until hours later when a person walking by stumbled upon them.
