On the evening of December 28, 2019, Amrian Beckwith, a 33-year-old Black / African American man, was shot in a residential area near 7499 West Devonshire Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona. According to case information later released to the public, the shooting occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m., a time when people were still out in the neighborhood, and the attack left him critically injured at the scene.
