In the early evening of July 12, 2023, a tragedy unfolded at an apartment complex in north Phoenix that claimed the life of 23-year-old Sixto Gomez-Zurito. Phoenix Police officers were dispatched to the scene at 14221 North 51st Avenue shortly after 6:00 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
