On July 12, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in north Phoenix, Arizona, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Sixto Gomez-Zurito. The incident took place at an apartment location near the intersection of 51st Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Gomez-Zurito was taken to a hospital after being shot, but he later succumbed to his injuries. The Phoenix Police Department responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the shooting.
