In the early morning hours of Thursday, December 10, 2015, a violent encounter in a gentleman's club parking lot left one man dead and another critically injured. The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. in the south parking lot of the Essex Gentleman's Club, located at 4139 West Indian School Road in Phoenix. Twenty-five-year-old Cesar Vega was shot and died from his injuries.
A second male victim was also shot and sustained critical injuries but survived the attack.
To date, the case remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made in connection with the deadly shooting. Investigators believe the suspect may have been inside the club prior to the incident. The Phoenix Police Department and Silent Witness have released a description of the person of interest. He is described as a Black male, approximately 20 years old, standing between 5'4' and 5'6' tall, and weighing around 150 pounds. He had a short fade haircut and was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt.
Authorities are seeking the public's help for any information that could lead to the arrest and indictment of the suspect or suspects involved in the homicide of Cesar Vega and the critical injury of the second victim. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case. The investigation remains ongoing as they continue to search for the individual responsible for this act of violence.
