On June 21, 2015, Kenneth Kinard, 30, a Black/African American male, was fatally shot during a pool party at a North Phoenix apartment complex in Phoenix, Arizona. He was attending a social gathering at the complex when an argument broke out among people at the event. That confrontation escalated into violence, and one or more people produced a firearm, leading to gunfire that struck Kinard and ended his life.
