In the early morning hours of February 8, 2024, the life of 39-year-old Mario Peter Vega, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting on Tucson's west side. The incident unfolded shortly before 1:40 a.m., when officers in the area reported hearing the sound of gunshots.
