In the early morning hours of October 28, 2024, a violent encounter in west Phoenix claimed the life of 34-year-old Jose Carlos Jimenez, a Hispanic male. The fatal shooting occurred around 3:20 a.m. in the vicinity of 67th Avenue and Highland Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Jimenez and another man, 21-year-old Marquez Anthony Demarcus Booker, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, neither man could be saved, and both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
