On May 22, 2022, a tragic shooting occurred in Lincoln, Nebraska, resulting in the deaths of 26-year-old Zachariah Palomo and 42-year-old Patricio Urias. The incident took place inside a residence near 30th and P Streets during the early morning hours. Officers responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting just before 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found both men fatally wounded; despite life-saving efforts, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
