Kyrell D. Lewis, a 23-year-old from Wilmington, Delaware, tragically lost his life on January 9, 2015, in what was later determined to be a homicide. Lewis had been shot multiple times outside an apartment complex on the 400 block of East 18th Street, a neighborhood that had witnessed growing concerns over crime in the preceding years.
