On a street in Wilmington, Delaware, the life of 16-year-old Troy Kirkland, a Black/African American male, was cut short on the evening of Monday, March 10, 2025. The teenager was on the 200 block of West 25th Street when he was shot. Wilmington Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m. and found Kirkland with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
