On January 12, 2015, in Bear, Delaware, tragedy unfolded late in the evening when a 20‑year‑old Black male, resident of Bear named Lahmeer Carter, fell victim to a violent act—he was fatally shot in a residential vicinity near the 300 block of Prospect Parkway.
