On a spring evening in Wilmington, Delaware, the life of Terrance Kinard, a 34-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On May 7, 2016, just after 6:20 p.m., gunfire erupted on the 1400 block of West Third Street. When Wilmington police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Kinard suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, but the injuries he sustained proved to be fatal.
