Rodney L. Miller Jr., 25, male, left home on a late-winter Tuesday and never made it back. Around 7:40 p.m. on February 28, 2017, a Dover police officer on routine patrol heard a burst of gunfire at the Towne Point Apartments on Carvel Drive. When the officer searched the complex, he found Miller inside a parked vehicle at the rear of the property. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene, the second homicide in Dover that year.
