In the early morning hours of a cold January day in Washington, D.C., the life of Jockquel Davis, a 22-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On Sunday, January 25, 2004, at approximately 1:39 a.m., Davis was shot and killed in the 1600 block of W Street, Northeast. The incident left a community in mourning and a family grappling with a sudden and violent loss.
