Joshua Bailey, a 30-year-old Black/African American male, was killed in Wilmington, Delaware, on August 7, 2021, after gunfire broke out in the 400 block of West 29th Street. Police reported that the shooting happened at about 11:15 a.m., turning a late-summer morning into the scene of a fatal investigation. Bailey was found wounded and taken to a hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.
