Sean Spencer, 50, a Black male, was shot in the pre-dawn dark outside his family’s Wilmington home on the 800 block of West 5th Street. Around 2:50 a.m. on July 18, 2018, one of his adult sons stepped out to leave for work and was confronted by a man with a gun.
