Walter Benny Kornegay, a 36-year-old African American man from Youngstown, Ohio, tragically lost his life on June 26, 2022. He was found shot at Crandall Park, near a swingset, around 5 p.m. on that Sunday. The Mahoning County Coroner confirmed his identity. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation, and the police have not yet released any information about suspects or arrests related to the case.
