On a crisp December afternoon in 2006, the life of 18-year-old Megan Ripley, a White female, was tragically cut short in the woods behind her family’s farmhouse in Paris, Maine. On December 7th, while walking with her younger brother, she was struck in the chest by a single bullet from a muzzleloader. The shot was fired by a hunter who was in the area.
