On a cold March day in 1941, the community of Lewiston, Maine, was shaken by a tragedy that would leave a lasting scar. Pearl Wentworth Stevens, a 59-year-old woman, was found dead on March 3rd, her life abruptly ended. But she was not the only one. The grim discovery also included the bodies of her sister, Flora Wentworth Currier, who was 60 years old; her 12-year-old son, George Leo Stevens; and her 20-year-old daughter, Pearl Stevens Pellerin.
