A woman is killed in a hit and run
On the night of April 20, 1999, 42-year-old Bessie Selek was walking along Route 202 near the Waterboro-Lyman town line in Maine when she was struck and killed by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene, leaving Selek to die on the roadside. Despite initial investigations and attention from local authorities, no suspects were arrested, and the case remains unsolved.
