On September 10, 2006, 44-year-old Linda Marie Ouellette Spaulding was tragically shot and killed in her Hartland, Maine, home by her ex-husband, 45-year-old Timothy Spaulding, who then took his own life. This incident was classified as a domestic murder-suicide by the Maine State Police.
