On February 8, 1968, a tragic incident occurred in Westbrook, Maine, resulting in the deaths of multiple members of the Allard family. Roger George Allard, born in 1920 in Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton, Quebec, and his son, Peter Charles Allard, born on January 11, 1951, in Burlington, Vermont, both died on that day. They were laid to rest in Saint Hyacinth Cemetery in Westbrook.
