On July 25, 2011, in New Gloucester, Maine, 28-year-old Trevor Mills was fatally shot alongside 27-year-old Renee Sandora, the mother of four children. The perpetrator, Joel Hayden, was both Sandora's boyfriend and Mills' longtime friend. The tragic incident occurred at Sandora's residence, with their 7-year-old son witnessing the shootings.
