In the quiet community of Castle Hill, Maine, the life of 51-year-old Roger Floyd Ellis was unexpectedly cut short on August 13, 2019. On that Tuesday, the bodies of Ellis, a male, and his 25-year-old friend, Allen Curtis, were discovered inside Ellis's red Chevrolet Silverado. Both men had been fatally shot in what authorities quickly deemed a double homicide.
