On December 17, 2014, 22-year-old Anthony Mitchell was fatally shot outside the Rodriguez Meat Market and Grocery on Hartford Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. Mitchell, originally from New York and residing in Lincoln, was exiting the store when the incident occurred. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
