In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 4, 2022, the small community of Arlington, South Dakota, was disturbed by an act of violence that resulted in the death of 23-year-old Remington Bickett, a Caucasian male. Authorities were called to the scene of a shooting at approximately 5:10 a.m. Emergency medical services attempted life-saving measures on Bickett at the scene, but he was pronounced dead while being transported to the hospital in an ambulance.
