In the early morning hours of August 17, 2021, a young Hispanic/Latino man's life was tragically cut short in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Nineteen-year-old Dillion Montileaux-Trevino was fatally shot in the apartment he shared with his mother. The incident marked the first homicide in the city for that year.
