Cody Allen Schmidt

Murdered

On August 2, 2020, 30-year-old Cody Allen Schmidt was found deceased in a ditch near Wall Lake, west of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A farmer checking on his cattle discovered Schmidt's body near the intersection of Highway 42 and 464th Avenue. An autopsy revealed that Schmidt had been shot multiple times, including wounds to his upper abdomen, stomach, and head.
