In the early morning hours of July 2, 2006, a shooting occurred in the 200 block of L Street, Southwest in Washington, D.C. that would ultimately claim the life of 16-year-old Michael Lucas, an African-American male. Another individual, Davon Holt, was also shot at approximately 4:30 a.m. and died at the scene.

Michael Lucas was critically injured in the shooting and fought for his life for several days. He ultimately succumbed to his injuries on July 8, 2006. His death, along with Davon ...
